The Marketplace Playbook

NSIN’s Marketplace Playbook took place on Wednesday April 3rd from 6:00-8:30 pm. Elke Keeley was our speaker for this event. Elke is the founder of UrbanYou, an app that allows users to pick and choose cleaning services for their home based on reviews and various prices. Her presentation was great and explained her story of how she got into the startup industry and why she chose to exit, instead of take on more investors.

The Venture Cafe at Macquarie University launched on 21 February. This is Venture Cafe’s newest location. Other locations include Boston, Miami, Tokyo, and others. This space helps connect innovators and entrepreneurs with high-impact programming and events.

New Team Member Spotlight

We welcome our newest intern, Louis Fragiacomo, to the NSIN team! 
Louis a currently finishing up his last semester at Australian Christian University (ACU). He is a business student that is also running his own startup. Louis believes that “interning at NSIN would be  a great opportunity to learn more about the startup culture in Australia, while also giving me an opportunity to meet new and interesting people”. We are happy to have you on board Louis!

Join us as welcome students, teachers, and university officials as we ask the real questions about the future of higher education. Past events included speakers from Neutopia and Open Learning so the next will be awesome!  Food and drinks will be provided.
