Cherie is a lifelong learner who holds a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Teaching from the Australian Catholic University, a Master of Arts in Modern History from Macquarie University, a Master of Education from the University of Technology Sydney; and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
Her 15 years of experience in education spans a range of levels and modes. Prior to joining OpenLearning, Cherie was the Head of Education Delivery at the Australian Institute of Company Directors where she led faculty engagement, education delivery, Director CPD, and lifelong learning.
Between 2012 – 2017, Cherie oversaw student delivery of some of Australia’s largest private colleges. As Director, Customer Success at Scentia, Cherie led the operational teams for the four colleges that included B2B, B2C, and B2G delivery for non-accredited courses, vocational, and higher education qualifications. As Head of College and registered CEO of the Australian Institute of Applied Sciences, a Study Group college; Cherie enabled the regeneration of the brand and managed their transition to online learning.
Cherie is dedicated to building experiences that put the learner at the center of the design and delivery process. Having led education innovation programs for Ivy College and the Australian Institute of Management, Cherie’s efforts in driving the evolution of education quality resulted in individual and business awards for service excellence by the Customer Service Institute of Australia.
Joining the team in 2018, Cherie is enjoying the opportunity to leverage her experience as an educator, organisational development advocate, and operational executive to partner with users of OpenLearning.
