THE PITCH PROCESS
Pitches are 5-7min, warning bell at 5min and ‘the plug is pulled’ at 7min. Then a judge Q&A – pitchers will be given constructive advice on how to better sell their ideas. And spectators will get to see the brave rise or fall… 😉
Judges will have 5min or so Q&A and so a whole pitch should take 15min including swap over. We will try and get through 8 pitches on the night…

PITCH COACH
Sarah Cummings (https://www.linkedin.com/in/sarahcummingssydney/)
Co-Founder & CEO, Teach Ted
Sarah Cummings says the key to any good pitch is in the story – creating a flow that engages the audience throughout whilst weaving in all the critical information you need to share. She has over 20 years’ experience doing just this across a range of industries, audiences and topics. She’s also an experienced storyteller and past winner of the NSIN pitch night and other pitch competitions with her healthtech startup, Teach Ted. Sarah will share her approach for figuring out what your audience needs to know, how to say it and creating slides that work for you, no matter what your artistic talents (or lack thereof!).
