Resilience: How different ways of thinking about resilience can be applied to strategic management
November 10, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
The COVID-19 crisis has put the question of resilience at the forefront of our attention as individuals, organisations and whole societies struggle to cope and adapt. In this Masterclass Professor Jaco Lok will draw on resilience research in biology and psychology to discuss how different ways of thinking about resilience can be applied to strategic management. He will use his own award-winning research on war surgeons in Afghanistan to illustrate some of the real-life consequences of an overly instrumental view of managing organisational resilience.
